I was asking a question about the JW. I was never a JW. But DC including it's school system was pretty much separated till 1970. I know from my travels south during this time period everything south of DC most definitely would have been separated. Restaurant, movie theaters, schools, churches etc everything would have been divided.

TD,
DC was pretty much the dividing line back then. Everything was either black or it was white from there south. True neighborhoods were also very divided back then.

God is Real in Principle
by looter innow the majority of people nowadays do no go by the hope of old times.
now the reason for this is important and goes beyond mere words.
our culture sees ethics especially national or civil politics as the rules and standards by which we guide ourselves.

Vivian,
Christians have choices, we as a human race are not robots we can choice what we believe. So if we choice to believe in a religion we can pick one that best fits our belifs.
Some of us even believe in God and do not believe in the Bible.

You clearly said Christians, I am pointing out that there are many denominations that have different beliefs. For an example how many years did you preach the JW cult interpretation of the Bible. Well there is also the Lutheran, Catholic, Baptist and so on. Within the Lutheran religion there are two different segments of believers and they do things completely different. In Christianity you cannot make a blanket statement of their beliefs like you did. My girlfriend is an Elder in the Methodist Church. One branch of the Methodist Church women can hold all positions including Minister and Board members and in the other women are treated just like in the JW cult.
All I am saying is you need to qualify your statement.

OrphanCrow,
Yes, if they empowered women could you only imagine how much less drama there would be in the KH.

I think Cofty needs to research his last post on Christianity because it fails the test big time. Especially point 2 that one is not truthful and in some denominations has not been true for 30 some years. I personally have attended gay weddings as far back as 25 or 30 years.
As for point 1 the reason some of this is not acceptable is because of the prolife issues. It is my understanding that there has been great results from adult stem cell especially regarding MS. This is not my field but found out about it today when talking to a prolife advocate and her husband who is an attorney in this field.
I think you need to check your facts.

One thing to remember is that even churches have to "fit" in the places they are located. The more crowded they are making those halls, the more street parking happens.
I went to pickup my DIL and grandkids yesterday, I have to pass a very well hidden KH in an exclusive neighborhood. There is no street parking only residents front lawns, well there are at least 100 new No Parking signs throughout this neighborhood now AND one of those traffic flashing signs facing the KH that reads No Parking / Fines $40.00.
Honestly you would need a GPS to find this KH.
